Keith Perry –‘Blues Making Progress and we are on the Right Track’
With the whole hall of the Sliema Wanderers fc packed to every single chair, Sliema Wanderers President, Keith Perry addressed the numerous gathering of the Blues supporters. Also in attendance, there was Hon Robert Arrigo, who like always, goes out of his way whenever there is an event being organized by the Blues supporters together with special guest Silvio Zammit who was making an appearance through the invitiation of Keith Perry.
Pres Keith Perry said that despite encountering many difficulties, the Blues were on the right track and heading in the right direction. He thanked everybody involved in making sure that Sliema Wanderers is were it is today and also appealed for more people to come forward especially when it comes to sponsors.
‘Europe is the primary aim of the club this season and we also need to balance the books in line with the UEFA fair play system.’ These words were repeated time and time again as he stressed the importance of this. Pres Keith Perry also gave details about the sponsorship with Fortina, with the contract done and dusted and should give the Blues a considerable income over the next few years.
Members also asked regarding the situation of present players, especially regards the highly valued Miguel Ciantar. Pres Keith Perry said that Miguel has shown a positive attitude he will defiantly will be considered for next season. The Blues are planning in having 15 homegrown players next season within their first team squad.
Pres Keith Perry also stated that the Blues are fast tracking Dandolo, a very highly rated 16 year old player and he has already started training with the first team. There seems to be a good crop of youngsters coming through.
